Process art is concerned with action, which can be defined as the actual artwork and engages the audience to participate in the actual process. Canning (or collecting recyclable cans and bottles) is often the only "job" or income available for the homeless. The intention of the installation was to allow individuals to experience, if only for a moment the actual practice of canning.
